Paver walkway from drive to door

A walkway is the first hardscape a visitor stands on, and the one that shows wear fastest.

Paver walks are laid on the same compacted base as a patio, with a proper edge restraint so the sides do not creep outward under foot traffic. A contrasting border course gives the path a defined line and makes a curve look intentional rather than approximate.

Planned as a route

Paths work best when the whole route is planned at once: drive to door, door to patio, patio to garden. Done piecemeal you end up with a yard that reads like a maze.

Why not concrete

Concrete cracks and chips, and a repair never matches. A paver walk can be lifted and reset, and stone holds its colour and traction through a Carolina winter.
